Pro Tip: The "Outer" front baffle is slightly larger so it caps the edges of the top, bottom, and sides for a cleaner look and a stronger seal.
🔊 Center Port & Tuning
Port Opening: 5" Wide x 14" High
Port Depth: 16" Total (This is the "tunnel" length).
Tuning: 36.1 Hz.
Subwoofer Placement: Mount one 12" on each side of the center port. Ensure the cutouts are centered in the remaining baffle space.
🏗️ Critical Internal Bracing
@ 0.75", they will flex at 3,500W unless you brace them.
Vertical Braces: Take two scraps of 0.75" birch (about 2" wide) and glue them vertically to the inside of the back wall.
Cross-Bracing: Use a 1.5" wooden dowel or a "bridge" of scrap wood to connect the front baffle to the back wall between the subwoofers. This prevents the box from "breathing."
This box is designed for 2.5 Cubic Feet net volume and tuned to 36 Hz.

🔊 Port Specifications & Sub Placement
Since it's a single sub, we will put the port on the far left or far right side of the front baffle.
Port Opening: 3" Wide x 13.5" High
Total Port Length: 21" (This requires an L-bend inside).
Internal Port Wall: Your 12" internal wall piece will sit 3" away from the side wall. To reach the full 21" length, you will need to add a small 6" extension piece at a 90-degree angle to the end of that wall.
Tuning: 36 Hz.
