Our Story :

We wont take you too far back and tell all, Because we come from a place where not many is left or gone away to places they rather not be. "Where the dope boys was the rock stars · But they can't cop cars without seeing cop cars. I guess they want us all behind bars - I know it."(Quoted from kanye west Heard ’Em Say) But here we go off and running Let’s get it ….

In the Mid to late 90’s Owner Chris Brown was Buying and selling so many cars. And was politely asked for him to obtain a Business licenses. By the City of Louisville. Maybe the love of cars started for him when he drove his first car. His neighbor Mr. Henry let him steer his Cadillac back home from School. In kindergarten at just 5yrs old. Everyone in the hood that got a ride to school got there turn to drive. Maybe it was his uncle Mike Berry’s slicked out Mobster/Mafia style Lincoln town car. Charcoal Grey , Black rag top, Limo tint. With a insane stereo that you could hear for blocks around .You knew Mike Berry was on his way through the neighborhood . Maybe it was Billy Procter’s even slicker town car over on 5th st .Fully customized, Could have been in a magazine. If we wasn't doing back flips on old mattresses. We was playing basketball or football. That football would smack that Town car. And it would say PROTECTED BY VIPER STAND BACK. Chris thought that was cool as shit at the time. Even before he had his drivers license. He bought a 84 Buick regal, And had it in the back yard @ 609 Iowa Ave. Fixing it up on his own mechanically. Bought a full kenwood setup for that car at Circuit City for well over $ 4,000 .Top of the line everything they had at the time. Had it all Installed at Autosound on Rockford ln ,Louisville Ky. The cost of putting in all in was nuts. And was only was able to afford about half of it to be put in. Fast forward a bit and After owning a very very slick Cutlass low rider . He got a 84 Cadillac coupe deville. This time he wasn't going to pay someone to install the equipment. But he needed a Alarm on it. Not knowing Anything about them at the time. He went back to that Autosound and talked with Jimmy Coogle. The best ,coolest, most informative salesman you’d ever meet. He Used to be Ovations Manager too. But Chris walked in and asked a few questions about installing the alarm. Jimmy Answered every question with great detail. Even as far as to draw out diagrams and fully explain all of it. Chris went home installed the alarm. Went back to Autosound to have Jimmy look everything over and see what he thought. He looked the caddy over. And said dude you did all this by yourself. Chris said yeah, Jimmy said dude do you want a job. And that’s how getting into the industry all started. He didn't get on at that Autosound on Rockford ln first. But the One on Bardstown rd owned by Dale Jackson gave him his first shot. Stayed there for 6 months to a yr , Before its closing. Went from there to the Original Autosound on Rockford. Was there for About 4 ½ yrs before moving on again. Also Entered Mecca SPL competitions. Qualifying for the STATE FINALS then WORLD FINIALS. Chris did’nt even run the past 3 runs and still ended up entering @7th in the world and leaving with 11th place not even doing the last 3 runs. Only with Just with 500w :) Then working for Smartshoppers on and off around 3 times over the yrs. At There original Outer loop location , Then the one they had on Produce ln. L &S Audio. And Scott's for very very slim bit. But In between those times and shops he tried his first go with Daville Customs. And opening a Location on Outer Loop Across from Walmart .Only there a few months and being slowed down by the owner of the property itself . Chris got a call from Smartshoppers Again. And the Owner Brad Pit made Chris a offer he couldn't refuse at the time. If he would shut down Daville Customs and come work for him. As Smartshoppers was in the middle of transferring locations. Fast Forward a Little more. The Owner Of Daville Customs also had many other Professional jobs, some at high levels throughout all those yrs. From Construction,Flooring,Mechanics,Computers you name it .We could go on forever on all the trade Skills obtained. He is called by many MacGyver. This time Daville Customs is on nobody’s clock. We will own the land where be now on Berry Blvd .And we will be there from now until eternity .We ain’t going anywhere. And Starting it back up in the Southend from Where it all started. On a Street with the Last Name of some of his Family BERRY. And around the Corner From where one of his uncles Dennis Berry used have a old TV repair shop on 7th st behind the White Castles in the 80’s. And behind our shop in Conn Ally, Where his other uncle RICK BERRY lived .Our Story is still Unfolding . And everyday will be going at it. Stronger than ever. With Chris Brown launching off DAVILLECUSTOMS.COM and being the first shop in Kentucky to offer internet sales, local sales, with installation. There has never been a shop around Ky, able to give you all of those services. Chris Brown is able too. Because he did not have to hire anyone to do all internet or computer work and designs .Or updating week to week .Plus with everything else .They would have to hire someone else in for that position or work. There goes more of there overhead. Here at Daville Customs we don't have rent to pay. And a lot of overhead like a lot of shops around. We can pass a lot of that saving back to the Customer. We are able to bend little, So you don’t get bent over. Chris dreamed about working in those shops . But after yrs and yrs of being in a few shops. And knowing how much markup that some of the Owners are always getting the public for. Yes sir ,There will be something quite more different here at Daville Customs :)             Thanks for reading and getting to know us.
